He has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management in the United Kingdom, which is a leading European Business School. He is an Accountant by training and was an Auditor in an international firm of Accountants for nine years. His strategic experience comes from being a Financial Manager, Company Secretary and Business Development Manager in a leading Swedish pharmaceutical company by the name of Astra Pharmaceutical.

Since 1995, Richard has consulted and trained some 10,800 General Managers and executives in several companies in Asia in his core business competencies which are in Marketing, Leadership, Strategy and Change and Fundamentals of Finance. More recently Richard has designed and delivered a Business Essentials program for participants of the Philips China, Advanced Leadership Development Program (ALDP).

Starting his career as a sales representative in an American MNC, Ronnie climbed every rung of the ladder and winning various local and regional awards along the way, to become a National Sales Manager (today’s equivalent of Sales Director) in a leading pharmaceutical giant. Under his leadership, Astra Malaysia (now AstraZeneca) was ranked No: 2 in the pharmaceutical industry and IMS surveys in 1992, 1993, 1994 states the following: “Astra’s strength lies in the well-trained representatives which confirm the earlier findings.”

When Fisher Scientific USA took over General Scientific Malaysia, Ronnie assumed the role of a General Sales Manager in the organization so as to bring the sales operations to international standards. Similarly when American Greetings Inc., the largest public listed greeting card company in the world took control of Memory Lane, Ronnie again assumed the position of General Manager – Sales to professionalize the sales operations. Thus, he has over 25 years of hands-on experience in recruiting, training, developing and managing professionals of leading multinational and Malaysian companies and has contributed towards the selection and development of award-winning representatives and managers in a few industries.

Ronnie is also a certified facilitator for Zenger-Miller Quest Quality Program. Deeply involved in social causes, he has spent 20 years conducting literacy and empowerment programs amongst the indigenous people in the jungles of Malaysia and villages of Cambodia. He is also the Training Consultant for the National Aids Authority, an agency within the government of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Terence Hockenhull

He is based in the Philippines with extensive experience in both sales & negotiation skills training and consulting and training major players in the telecommunications industry. A brief overview of Mr. Hockenhull work experience and diversity of clients is listed below:

Terence is a British National by birth. However, he has spent all of his adult working life in South East Asia. During two years as a commissioned officer with the Royal Air Force he was exposed to Criterion Referenced Instruction (CRI). He joined the Royal Hong Kong Police Force Inspectorate in 1976 and gained extensive experience in training, presentation and media work. He speaks fluent conversational Cantonese.

Terence left Hong Kong in 1986 to manage a consultancy business in Manila Philippines. Adding to his cultural exposure to Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Singapore, he was able to build a successful business working entirely with Filipinos. He was called upon by the business community and the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) to deliver seminars and lectures.

Exposed to Sales Training for a number of years and an accredited facilitator for a leading US and British skills based program (SPIN ®), he developed and designed a series of sales training programs based on well researched skills and his exposure to South East Asian cultures.

Terence spent a further 3 years in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong as General Manager-South East Asia Operations for Organizational Effectiveness Associates Pty Ltd. He was a Director of this company and its sister company in New Zealand, Alan Barker Associates. Both companies specialized in Management and Sales Training. Throughout this time, he designed and facilitated sales training programs for multinational clients including Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants, TNT Skypack, Comet Air Freight, Ansett Airlines, NSW Government Insurance Office and other service and financial institutions.

On return to the Philippines in 1991, he worked closely with a local consultancy Group, Training Institute for Managerial Excellence, Inc. (TIME, Inc.) as Managing Consultant. Danniel is the co-author of “The Art of Mastering Ceremonies” a beginners guide for MCs. He is also currently researching and writing the definitive book on the dynamics of personality profiling in human pair bonding & relationships.
